On the Outgoing Server tab, select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and Use the same settings as my incoming mail server. If you use Outlook 2016 (or another client that support STARTTLS) use STARTTLS and port 25, otherwise use port 587 and TLS encryption. The Outgoing server supports a couple of options. This will automatically change the port to 995 for POP3 or port 993 for IMAP. In More Settings, Advanced tab, set the Incoming server to use SSL encryption. If you don't use two-factor authorization on your Gmail account, you need to Allow less secure apps in Gmail settings at the end of the Gmail Security options page.
